Reflexology Reflexology is a complimentary therapy that goes beyond the symptoms of an illness to treat the cause. Our feet and hands work as a map for all the internal organs of our body, therefore in applying pressure to specific areas; massage is used as a vehicle to promote physiological changes in the body. As pressure is applied to specific regions it stimulates the movement of energy along the nerve channels, aiding the restoration and maintenance of the body’s natural equilibrium. There is no requirement to remove any clothing except shoes and socks (for foot reflexology!). A treatment will typically last 1 hour, resulting in improved circulation, stimulating the body’s own natural pain relief, to boost and balance the immune system.Reflexology is suitable for all ages and may bring relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions such as:

  • Back pain
  • Migraine
  • Fertility issues
  • Arthritis
  • Inflammation
  • Sleep disorders
  • Hormonal imbalances (e.g. Thyroid, post-menopausal problems etc.)
  • Allergies, Persistent skin conditions (e.g. Eczema)
  • Circulatory Issues (blood pressure imbalances, cold hands and feet, etc.)
  • Digestive disorders (e.g. IBS, constipation etc.)
  • Stress related conditions

Many find it useful to help maintain health and general well-being and also for calming the mind and body, therefore counteracting stress.

Reflexology does not claim to prescribe, diagnose or cure illness and professional medical advice should always be sought.

Indian Head massage   Indian Head Massage originated in India over 1000 years ago and has recently gained popularity in the West. It’s an extremely effective therapy, involving massage of the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp, ears and face, using firm yet gentle, rhythmic movements that involve acupressure points. The massage works on key areas of the body, especially the neck and shoulders where stress affects major muscle groups, and it often brings immediate relief. Tensions are eased and fibrous knots and nodules melt away. The efficiency of the circulatory and lymphatic systems improves, toxins are dispersed from tense muscles and flexibility and fluidity of movement is restored. The client remains seated in an upright position during treatment, and although it is possible to perform the treatment without removing clothing, it’s advisable to wear a vest top or something that allows access to the upper back and shoulders (towels will be provided if this is preferred). Treatments typically last around 45 minutes. The techniques used in Indian head massage are simple and effective and result in a truly relaxing and energising experience. Indian Head massage
